Beginners Luck!

If you are a newbie, I highly reccomend the site, Couponing 101. It's thorough, it's easy. It's great. I have done a few posts on this stuff, but their site is just the best, so I give them full credit, props and kudos. (Let's all raise the roof)

Here are a few of their helpful links that you will not be able to live without!
Coupon Basics: What every new coupon shopper needs to know.
A Beginners Guide To Couponing
Did you know that "we coupon ladies" have our own language?

So, once you have read all of their awesome stuff, here's what you do:

1. Order the Sunday paper at a discounted rate and print off your internet coupons. Don't know what I am talking about? Go re-read this!

2. Organize Your Coupons
There are a few different ways to do this. For my tutorial, go HERE but basically, you can date in file folders or cut them out and keep them in baseball card holders in a binder in categories. Wonder if you are supposed to have a coupon for something specific? Go HERE for a continuously updated list of coupons.

3. Know the "Shopping Tricks"
Basically, just because you have a coupon for something, that doesn't mean you have to use it. Just because something is shown in an ad, that doesn't mean that it is really a good deal. Stock up on items you use when they are a good price. The more you coupon shop, the more familiar you will become with what is and isn't a good "goal price" for certain items.

Take advantage of double coupons and store promos. (Bashas, Safeway, and Frys all double)

Albertson's does NOT double coupons but they accept other store's coupons and you don't need a store card to get their VIP prices.

Stack store coupons with manufacturer coupons.

Price match at Wal-Mart for one-stop shopping if your coupon does not need to be doubled (say it is already for $1.00 off)

Remember, Wal-Mart does not double coupons or match "special" or "promo" sales and they also do not let you redeem buy one get one coupons, either. (At least my Wal-Mart won't)

Don't be brand loyal (but you can still usually get name brand for cheaper than generic brands!)

Clear as mud?!

Missing Money?

Did you know that there is a site (www.missingmoney.com) that you can go onto to see if your state has money that was somehow unreturnable to you? (Say your insurance company, or old utility co etc)

All you have to do is visit the site, find your state (most are on there) and search your name. (You can search by last name only if you want.) Sometimes it shows the amount due to you. You know it is you because it will have a previous address for you.

Let us know if you are one of the lucky people with $ coming to you! My aunt had $20 on there that she was able to claim. Hey, twenty bucks is twenty bucks!

LittlePeopleWealth posted a little blog about this article from TheSTREET.com

It is called 10 (More) Reasons Why You Aren't Rich

You care what your car looks like
You feel entitlement
You lack diversification
You started too late
You don't like to learn
You don't do what you enjoy
You buy things you don't use
You don't understand value
Your house is too big
You fail to take advantage of opportunities

I thought a lot of these points are not only true, but interesting to read about. Some of these topics have tips that I might not actually apply, but some are great! Let me know what you think. I am sure most of us could do a lot better at a lot of these things! I know I could! Baby steps, right? :)

PropertyRoom.com

PropertyRoom.com is a site where different law enforcement agencies auction off items that have been legally confiscated....and all apparently for our benefit. :)

They have some absolutely AMAZING deals on there.

I was just looking at their digital cameras and they have some NICE items going for only $1.00.
You just have to take my word for it and check this site out.

They also have:

Some stinking nice WATCHES
Bling Blinging JEWELRY
Clothes
Toys
Bikes
Cars (haha)
Computer items
Electronics
And more....

Seriously. I am blown away by the deals.

Coupon site!!! MyCouponHunter.com

I use this site weekly to order coupons once I do my ad/coupon match ups. The lady who runs the site is great & the communication is much better with her than when you get coupons from ebay. You can also order as many or as few coupons as you like & she only charges you for the stamp to ship it!

Also, here is the HCW link to tomorrow's Fry's Ad. It's a really good week!
