Target Clearance

While moseying around Target last night, I saw a few clearance baby items:

  • Target brand diapers for only $4.00/pack
  • Pampers and Huggies brand diapers on clearance (prices varied)
  • Target, Huggies & Pampers brand wet wipes all on clearance. Some were priced at $2.08, some big 6 packs of wipes were priced at only $5.00.

Use: Huggies Baby Wipes 64 ct or larger .75/1 (7-18-09) SS-4/19 or

Huggies Baby Wipes, any 64 ct. or larger .50/1 (5-24-09) SS-3/1

This was at the Target on Power/Williamsfield, I don't know if all Targets have these items on clearance.

I have been having some bad experiences with their cashiers and coupons lately, and I make an extra effort to be sure that they know that I am being honest and using coupons for the right products, etc. I have had a few other people here in AZ give me some negative feedback as well. Is anyone else having a tough time, or is it just hit and miss with grumpy cashiers?

I ALWAYS have problems with Target! I was at Target on Power/Southern yesterday and had a bad coupon experience. I was doing the .48/each Kraft mayo deal (1.99 - $1/1 4/26 Q & $1/2 Target Q). The cashier told me I could only use 4 coupons. Since when? I had the corporate coupon policy with me, but she said it was a store policy. What the heck? Each store can make up their own rules? In the end, I paid $2.27 for 4 Mayos instead of the 6 I wanted, but it was still a good deal. I just hate that they treat you like a criminal for using coupons!

Although I'm in Texas, I've also had a couple of bad experiences using manufacturer q's and target q's. I was told the limit is one q per item, the item had to match the pic on the q, and the worst was "you can't use this because your item will end up free". Well of course I was upset-very. I took note of the cashier's name and reported this immediately to guest relations and online.
I received a prompt apology from the store and by email.

My goal is to help them get used to the educated consumer.

Wow, I appreciate your comments and this post! I was so frustrated with Target last night- not just the cashiers (which I had to go to customer service AGAIN b/c she forgot to scan all my coupons) but also because many of the advertised items are not there. I have a list with great scenarios- and then I don't end up getting anything I went for.

On a positive side, I did find some t-shirts that were clearanced for only $1.25 for my boys, so that was a nice find- but I'm with you- I think I may give up with Target soon.
