Well, for starters we have the help of this great blog: Food Storage Made Easy I might have posted about this site a while ago, but they have added a lot in the past year and ironically, have made food storage seem even easier! How do they do it? Seriously. These women are amazing. Here are some of the hi-lights of their site. First, a starter page. What do you need to do BEFORE you start gathering your year supply or your 72 hour kits? How do you find your budget and make your plans? Find out HERE.
This site has even more helpful things, like recipes that use our food storage items, gardening help and much more! I love it!

They also have a Baby Steps program. That's right. Baby steps. ONE thing at a time. You can sign up for their Baby Steps email program. (It is free) It works like this: every two weeks they send out emails giving you different things to do. (Easy things, don't worry) If you follow their checklist for ONE YEAR, you will have your 72 hour kits, water storage, 3 month supply of normal foods and your entire one year supply of long-term foods as well as some critical non-food items. (Toilet paper, etc)

I LOVE this website and have been following it for a few months. My favorite is one of their "sister" sites...everydayfoodstorage.net...she teaches you how to cook with your food storage and I've learned a ton from her!!
