$3.01 Gas at Fry's!!!

For those of you who DON'T live in Queen Creek (a few of my friends in Mesa check out this site too!), the Fry's on Stapley and McKellips just built a "Fry's Gas Station" and it's about 15 cents cheaper than most places... PLUS if you use your Fry's card (you can punch in your number) you get another 10 cents off. I just filled up today for 3.01 a gallon with my card. I only saved 2 dollars by going there today rather than the other gas stations down Mckellips, but it adds up!!!

The fruit snacks will be .70c a box, but if they double the coupons they will only be only .50c a box. If Fry's is out, get a rain check for the promo price of 4/$4 OR you can go to Wal-Mart and price match the cereal. The only risk with this is that Wal-Mart doesn't double coupons, and Fry's might if they aren't paying attention and you could get it for free. This was an awesome promo. Remember you can only do 4 items per transaction, but you can do as many transactions as you want. Fry's will only double the first 3 same items per transaction, so for example, do 3 boxes of Fiber One Bars and One box of Cheerios for 1 transaction.

PG & E Saver

If you go to www.frysfood.com and click on the very bottom left picture (PG&E) you can automatically load certain coupons onto your FRY's card. These coupons automatically come off of your purchases when the clerk scans your VIP card. These uploadable coupons can be used along with paper coupons, but it cannot be doubled like the others can.

Couponing Tips

::Get LOTS of coupons.

::I get 3 sets, more when possible. You can get them from family, neighbors, friends, or co-workers.

::Organize Sunday coupon inserts by date in file folders or cut them out and keep them in baseball card holders in a binder in categories. That is my favorite method because I can take them to the store with me easily without having to worry about cutting them out there or looking for them.

::Stock up on items you use when they are a good price (3-6 month supply if possible)Take advantage of double coupons (Bashas, Safeway, and Frys) Albertson's does NOT double coupons.Stack store coupons with manufacturer coupons. (Albertson's will accept competitors store coupons) You also don't need a club card at their store.Price match at Wal-Mart for one-stop shopping if your coupon does not need to be doubled (say it is already for $1.00 off) Remember, Wal-Mart does not double coupons or match "special" sales and they also do not let you redeem buy one get one coupons, either. (At least my Wal-Mart won't)Don't be brand loyal (but you can still usually get name brand for cheaper than generic brands!)

Produce Co-Op

Can you believe that it is possible to get $50.00 worth of produce for $15.00? Well, my friends....you can! It is twice a month (every other Saturday) at different locations here in the valley. Go to http://www.bountifulbaskets.org/ to find your location. (You will first have to select East Valley or West Valley. From there they will have a list of different pick up locations for your areas.

Every week they offer a produce basket, which is 50% fruits, 50% vegetables for $15, with an estimated value of $50. This week they are also offering artisan bread, sandwich bread, See's Easter Candy and Specialty Cheeses for GREAT prices. You don't get to choose what specific produce is in your basket, but it is quality stuff straight off of the same trucks that deliver their produce to many local restaurants and grocery stores. There is always a variety of high-quality seasonal produce. If you ever get a lot of one item you can always can or freeze it!

Last week they were offering a whole load of different herbs, spices and lbs of powdered cheese for amazing co-op prices. At different times of the year they also offer cases of peaches, apples etc (perfect for canning) as well as gallons of different kinds of cooking oils etc.

The deadline for THIS WEEK's order is Wednesday night at 10:00 pm, so go on their site and order now! (If you are ever unavailabe to pick up your basket, you can always have a friend or neighbor get yours while they are getting theirs!) I have never met anyone who wasn't happy with the co-op!
